About us
Vathsalya
has vision to strengthen and preserve families through education, training
and nutrition,to prevent abandonment and help parents to enjoy and take
pleasure in parenting. Looking at the current situation in Karnataka and
sensitive to the needs of the community, we have shifted our focus to migrant
families and their vulnerable children. W e have been able to admit over 160
children into our day care both for the migrant children as well as those
with special needs. We focus on their
education through informal school and serve them nutritious meals. We support
850 children from the marginalized families in Bangalore and North Karnataka
through educational support.

Why work with us
We have
a pressing need for committed teachers to enable a one on one connect with
children. These children often come in from the streets or construction sites
with no formal education. Individual attention is the only way most of them
will profit.
