About us

Vidya Poshak, India is a registered Non Government Organization (NGO), serving education community. The organization was started by a group of compassionate people in the year 2001 at Dharwad with the aim of supporting financially challenged bright students.      • In all 3900 graduates have settled through gain full employment in their life and brought their families out the clutches of economic backwardness.
• More than 1,00,000 Youth were trained through different training program under C-Doss, ELAAP, RBC, ELIP etc.
• More than 20,000 youth utilize our library services every year. Students are provided Academic books, Reference books, Career counseling & Free Computer & Internet access.
• More than 250 Million Indian rupees invested in last 13 years for Empowerment of Youth.

Why work with us

Government provides free education to students till their 10th grade. However, many bright students are unable to pursue higher education due to high cost of the college education. On the other hand there is a need for more than 250 million graduates in India every year.
Vidya Poshak's Nurture Merit program is designed to bridge this gap. We select meritorious but poor students and provide financial assistance, text books and training to enable them to complete their graduation. In addition we also provide the training that prepares these students to get a gainful employment post their graduation.
Every year we are forced to reject over a 1000 applications of otherwise eligible students due to shortage of funds. Helping these students will lead to bigger impact in the society. It takes just INR 12,000/- to fulfil a student’s dream of higher education.
