About us

Uma Educational & Technical Society, Kakinada is a leading Non-Governmental Organization in Andhra Pradesh is existing since last 31 years for Development of Inclusive Society.   It is providing services from Early Intervention to create their own livelihood opportunities through various projects to the needy Persons with Disabilities

 It is upgrading with latest equipment to facilitate easy accessibility to the PWDs.    This organization is having sufficient infrastructure of trained experienced faculty members, barrier free buildings. We are mainly focusing on Health, Education, Livelihood, Social and Empowerment.  Also we are developing human resources in the field of disability Rehabilitation through various Training Courses.

Current Projects:

Special School for the Children with Intellectual Disabilities, Kakinada , Ongole, Saluru , A.P. &  Yanam, Puducherry (UT)

Dhirubhai Ambani Early Intervention & Rehabilitation Center for Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities, Tallarevu.

 Gharaunda – Group Home for Adults Intellectual Disabled, Kakinada.

State Learning Centre for Deafblindness, Kakinada.

District Disability Rehabilitation Centre, (DDRC), East Godavari.

 Workshop (Immovable & Mobile) for fabrication and fittings of Aids & Appliances.

Community Based Rehabilitation Project

District Disabled People’s Organization.

      12.       Diploma in Education Special Education Training Institutes at Kakinada and Eluru.

      13.       Integration of Child Protection Scheme (Childline 1098) at Yanam

      14.       Target Intervention Project for Migrant Community, East Godavari on HIV/AIDS.
