FUND RAISING

Society for Promotion of Youth and Masses (SPYM) is a non profit organization with a countrywide presence in the areas of health and social development for close to three decades. We appreciate any kind of assistance that will help us enhance our support towards the marginalised. Currently, we are managing over 60 shelters for homeless across Delhi.A large number of people on the streets are never able to access health care in hospitals. Moreover, even those who are able to access care and admission, are soon discharged from hospitals given the inability of public hospitals to cope with the enormous load of patients, only for these homeless residents to return to the streets. Here, exposed and unsheltered they relapse; because they are unable to continue treatment.  In order to ensure that such conditions do not arise, SPYM, intends to convert 5 shelters (2 for children, 2 for females and 1 for elder people) into 20 bedded health recovery shelters for the homeless, such that those homeless people who go back to the streets from hospitals have a place of rest till they complete treatment. We require a hundred units of beds for the same. We have estimated the cost of one unit of bed with mattress & linen and a side table as Rs. 5000 (Five Thousand only).
Secondly, we require a daily subscription of general Hindi and/or English newspaper, books, radios, basic television sets and CCTV cameras for our shelters in general. Any assistance with the above mention targets will be highly appreciated and preferred by our team.
