Cleanup and Beautification of Kings Circle Railway Station

The first time ever in India, Railways approved a non-profit venture to adopt a railway station. Under this project we are taking up cleaning and beautification of King's Circle Railway Station.

This project involves cleaning up the entire station, preparing the premises for beautification work, spreading awareness about hygiene and sanitation, carrying out beautification and tree plantation. Volunteers are required for the following activities to be carried out at King's Circle Station.

• Platforms, Foot-over Bridges, Ticket Vending Area, All entry and exit points, Pedestrian Subway leading to the station and Other areas identified by the Diehard Indian team
• Removal of any posters/banners/stickers stuck on various walls
  
• Scraping the walls and Application of wall putty/primer on all the walls
• Applying colour to the walls
  
• Drawing graffiti on certain walls in the station premises
  
• Create murals
  
• Design posters and banners on issues like cleanliness, safety and other such material that can be put up across the station
  
• Landscaping, gardening and tree plantation
  

Common Queries

• The tasks will be carried out over a period of 1-2 months on every weekend
• The tasks are usually carried out during 10:00 AM to 7 PM
• Diehard Indian will make all the materials like paint, brushes, primer etc on a best effort basis and the same will be provided to volunteers
• Volunteers do not need any special training to participate in this task
• We are happy to work with individual volunteers, NSS volunteering groups and corporate CSR teams also
