About us

Our purpose and aim is the promotion and preservation of Hindustani Classical Music; an ancient art form developed and perfected over centuries, but now losing the interest of newer generations to the more publicised commercial tunes. We hope to prevent that from happening. Our greatest achievement is our contribution to the cultivation of intelligent and sustained interest in this hallowed genre of music. We hope to increase popularity and develop an enlightened appreciation of the craft, among the young and old.
The Aims and Objects of the Circle are to cultivate a taste for an appreciation of the scientific system of Indian Music by holding concerts, lectures, and demonstrations, to conduct other activities imparting knowledge of Indian music and help in its propagation and to conduct programmes that serve as a platform for young talent and youth pursuing Indian Classical Music.
