About us
}I, Mahesh Yadav, founder and care
taker of Sparsh Balgram, got
married to a twenty year young girl Sujata in 2008. Sujata's parents had
expired due to AIDS. We started living in Satara, a small town in
Maharashtra. The villagers didn't have much awareness about this deadly
disease; and considered it as as contagious disease. Since Sujata’s parents
were afflicteshd with AIDS, they assumed she and I were most likely to
get infected and in turn spread it around the village. We were thrown out of
the village. Then I started working with various NGOs at Pune and later on
I and my wife decided to open SPARSH (Shelter & Rehabilitation Center
for HIV/AIDS infected children).
