About us
Spark-A-Change Foundation [SAC], is a Mumbai based NGO
registered as a Charitable Trust under the Bombay Trust Act,1950.SAC was born out of our conviction that
meaningful literacy
enables transformation of lives and that every child, regardless of
socio-economic strata, deserves access to quality education, mentorship and
opportunities to realise and maximise their potential. Interaction with educated adults through
academic and non-academic activities builds self-esteem, confidence, a thirst
for learning and values that prepares them for future opportunities.

MISSION - To ensure positive transformational change in children from
low-income communities by providing them with knowledge, values, skills,
mentorship and support to identify and achieve their true potential
- To create an
atmosphere of joyous, positive experiences conducive to learning and building
strong values in every child to help them face the world with confidence
- To provide a platform
for well-intentioned educated adults to contribute in meaningful social change
WHAT WE DOAt SAC our main focus
is to provide access to meaningful literacy for every child to ensure
responsible, socially aware citizens of tomorrow. Most children of SAC are the ‘firsts’ from
their families to step into the world of literacy and we aim to support them by
aiding the child with a meaningful learning process that will enable gainful
employment and hence a better future. Our team of 50
educated volunteers currently mentor over 300 children in learning centers
operating out of open parks in Juhu and Lokhandwala.
