About us

About SEEDS:

SEEDS (Social Education and Environment Development Society) is a registered non-profit organization based Kadiri, Anantapuramu district, Andhra Pradesh, founded by a group of professional and committed development practitioners with a goal to bring lasting positive changes in the lives of the neglected, deprived and distressed communities, with a special focus on the vulnerable and needy people living across the urban and rural areas.  

Since the inception of the organization, it has taken up many significant projects relating Agriculture, women`s empowerment, Local Governance, water, sanitation, Skill Trainings and Natural Resource Management with the support of Agriculture Man and Ecology Foundation (AME), Department of Rural Water Supply & Sanitation, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, C.P.R Environmental Education Centre, Chennai, Centre for Environment Education (CEE), Andhra Pradesh, National Green Core, Ministry of Environment and Forests, Govt. Of India and FVTRS, Bangalore.

SEEDS has an outstanding experience to handle multiple projects, in an effective manner. The organization works with core values including accountability and transparency in the implementation of the projects and adopted as mandatory the people`s participation in planning, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of the projects. The organization has energetic and committed staff/professionals to facilitate the project towards accomplishment of the goal.

Mission   :     Sustainable Development of impoverished communities through intervention of building community based human and natural resource development systems.

Why work with us

The Anantapur district is known as a drought prone area, and most of the people are depending on rainfed agriculture, majority of the farmers and land less people are migrating other towns and cities for labour work.  The elder people, children are remaining in the villages.  There are lot of social issues prevailing in the area like; child marriages, child labour, women with vulnerabilities and others.  

We requesting volunteers to support us for creating community awareness, education support to needy children, providing life skill education, protection of environment and mobilisation of needy communities for availing Govt. sponsored welfare schemes.  Also we need volunteers to support organisation documentation, field support in successful implementation of the projects.
