About us

SEEDS is a non-profit humanitarian organization working with the vision of Resilient Communities and the mission of   Equipping the most vulnerable with appropriate tools and technologies, sharing knowledge and skills, and promoting linkages among stakeholders to prevent life loss and suffering.

SEEDS was founded in 1994 and has been active in all major disasters – in relief and rehabilitation initiative and could achieve the highest level of professionalism and quality in all its endeavors. This is attributed to the team of young professionals consisting of planners, architects, engineers, project management specialists and media experts

With an experience of 25 years as a humanitarian organisation, SEEDS is working towards making communities resilient through comprehensive interventions. Key focus areas include the promotion of education, health, livelihood, poverty reduction, disaster recovery response, and preparedness. SEEDS stands for equipping the most vulnerable with appropriate tools/technologies, sharing knowledge/skills, and promoting linkages among stakeholders to prevent life loss and suffering. It adopts a multi-hazard locally based approach to empower communities through awareness generation, training, and action. Having responded to every
major disaster since year 2000, SEEDS is recognized as one of the important humanitarian actors
in India and Asia.
