| SANGLI MISSION SOCIETY (SMS) Sangli Mission Society, established in 1990, carries out various programs and projects with the purpose of lasting improvements and sustainable development of the disadvantaged and marginalized sections of society in Maharashtra mainly in four districts; Sangli, Kolhapur, Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri. Sangli Mission Society is engaged in various developmental and welfare activities like Formal Education, Special Education and Vocational Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) etc Mission Enabling the sustainable development of humanity through a process of empowering the less privileged, exploited, weak, marginalized and down trodden of the society GOAL Welfare of all sections of humanity irrespective of caste, creed, race or other discriminating factors OBJECTIVES • Empower the disabled to live a full life with equal rights and opportunities. • Improve the life situation of the HIV/AIDS infected and affected people, stigma eradication and prevention of HIV/AIDS. • Enabling the people to be the primary decision makers and executors through decentralized governance. • Enabling women to come into the main stream of Society for its integral development, safeguarding their dignity and integrity. • Enabling the exploited and weaker sections of society for justice, dignity and integrity. • Integrated and sustainable development through organic farming and allied activities and preservation of healthy environment. |
