About us

Rural Development Trust (RDT) has been getting involved with children belonging to scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and migrant population for the past 25 years in Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu, India. The vision and mission of the organization is realized and revisited through various activities in the thrust areas of health and education, considering the present generation to lead a healthy life for the better society. All types of possible efforts to empower the children are in progress to achieve their goals with specific objectives.

     Rural Development Trust works in 35 villages consisting in three blocks namely Thirupporur, Kattankulathur and St.Thomas mount in Kancheepuram District. The organization has wide experience in conducting special school for the migrant children for 10 years. The organization still runs 15 special schools for the migrant children. The organization has special Educators who have vast experience in working with disabled children. The organization is conducting evening tuition for Tribal children in 11 villages. The board members have 24 years of experience in working with children. All these capacities, expertise and experiences make every activity in the organization very successful and sustainable.
