About us

Rajanet Yegneswaran Charitable Trust was Started in 2005 with the help of volunteers and to this day, is run with volunteers. Started by planting indigenous trees inside the city in layouts, schools, colleges, Government offices, railways & Military land etc. 5 years ago started Agro-forestry, and are planting fruit trees to poor farmers to enhance their income. Agroforestry is a more productive, profitable, sustainable and ecologically sound land-use. Planted trees in calamity hit areas. 1000 trees on the banks of River Kaveri, Kudige, Kodagu, Karnataka. Planted 2000 fruit & coconut trees for the Gaja Cyclone hit farmers of Pattukotai, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. So far planted 81,500 trees. Our objective is to plant where the sapling is watered and taken care of. We look for survival and not numbers. With the outbreak of Pandemic COVID-19, we have sprung into action and have joined hands with NITI Aayog  We identify the needy inside the city and remote villages of Karnataka and Thanjavur, and connect Help Seekers to Help Givers. Volunteers have taken active part even during lock down and distributed 1500 dry ration kits impacting 5000 people inside the city to people who have lost their jobs, people living inside the cemetery, transgenders, etc. and for villagers in interior parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. We have distributed 3000 masks and have conducted 5 awareness camps on COVID-19NGO Type.
