Objectives

o To sensitize people, governments and courts on the importance and urgency of resolving the problems that children and societies worldwide are faced with

o To inform and educate the public, media and those with decisional powers and influence national, international and world policies with respect to children’s rights

o To urge and obtain commitments from the government of all countries to concretely put programs and policies into place which consider and meet the basic and elementary needs of all children and their families on both the material and emotional levels

o To promote initiatives that place importance on and respect the rights of children to live in an environment which favors their well being and allows them to attain their full potential

Activities 

o Conducting and/or sponsoring research projects related to the problems associated with children in India and other developing countriesand its socioeconomic and cultural setting in collaboration with specialists from various fields such as health, social services, education, law, etc.

o Developing awareness tools as well as intervention and prevention strategies aimed at minimizing the negative effects of poverty and violence in society with reference to traditional family and community settings as well as understanding the needs of modern society.

o Organizing international conferences and summits on issues related to children and their future environment

o To develop demonstration projects to show the creative contribution of children in creating a sustainable future.

o To conduct informal, skill- based education and training for children as well as formal primary level education.

o To intervene or file public interest litigations to safeguard the interests of children such as in the case of child labor or any other form of exploitation
