About us
About the Organisation :Nari-O-Sishu Kalyan Kendra is an welfare and development organisation established in 1979. It is
registered as non-profit making society formed and governed by some women of disadvantaged
community who aspire for the dignified lives of the poor, marginalised and disadvantaged women,
destitutes and the children through sustainable and rights based approach.During last three
decades, Nari-O-Sishu Kalyan Kendra, has been able to spread out the welfare and development
activities in number of villages, panchayats, blocks and districts of West Bengal in India.
Organisation strives for excellence in equity and gender balanced society, capacity building of
poorest of the poor, marginalised and sufferer women, Socially Excluded people and common
people specially emphasizing children and youth.
The Mission:
The Nari-O-Sishu Kalyan Kendra strives to unfold the down trodden marginalized people and
to make them self-reliant with particular emphasis on the socially-economically-politicallyculturally vulnerable groups like women and children towards attaining the envisioned
sustainable society.
Objectives:
??To develop human potentiality and critical awareness of the vulnerable groups of people and motivate them towards their empowerment.
??To enhance the knowledge and skills of the reference group so that they can plan and act accordingly towards their sustainable development through participatory process.
??To create awareness among the fairer sex regarding health, education, environment and economic action and also to make them capable of carrying their development journey.
??Formation of Self help Groups for income generation among the vulnerable sections through micro credit.

The envisioned society will be free from the forces of patriarchy and will be more peaceful and harmonious.
