Navjyoti India Foundation
New Delhi, Delhi, India
About us
It was registered as an organization in 1988 by the Magsaysay Award recipient Dr. Kiran Bedi and 15 other likeminded officials of Delhi Police, as a result of the inextricable link that existed between crime and drugs. Our strategy of crime prevention is based on the principle that the surest way to reduce crime is to focus on factors that put individuals at risk.
Over the last twenty five years, Navjyoti has been working relentlessly to bring about qualitative behavioral change and impact lives of over one lakh people. Its bottom- up approach of inclusive development has changed lives of many and has led the path in sustainable development.
Today, the organization is reaching out to more than 10,000 beneficiaries every day through its programs in the resettlement colonies of Bawana, Karala, Jahangir Puri (North West part of Delhi) and Nayagaon (Sohna, Haryana).

Why work with us
We’ve
been welcoming like-minded volunteers for many years now. The organization
provides volunteers the opportunity a platform to unite and share their
experiences and skills. We enrich them with real grass root level experiences
through working with vulnerable groups such as children, youth and women in
India. |
