About us

Nari Samata Manch has vision of creating a just society in which equality exists in all spheres; equal opportunities, equal rights to resources, equality in justice. With focus on gender we work with men and women for gender sensitization. We work with marginalized and deprived communities for their development issues and realization of rights. Our approach is based on Democracy, Nonviolence, Secularism and scientific rational process. We have counseling and speak out services for men and women in Pune. We work with Katkari community for assimilation of their children in formal education. We work in rural areas of Pune district to engage men in reducing gender based violence. We also provide consultation for implementation of Sexual Harassment of women at workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. Our members work as NGO representatives at different workplaces.We have a dedicated team of 10 people involved in day to day operation. In addition there are animators at grass root level. We have executive committee of seven members who have experience of work in relevant field. We have total 75 members. Major initiatives are speak out center for men and women, Daughter of Maharashtra award to women significantly contributed for women's cause, Khelghar for Katkari children in order to assimilate them better in formal education system,
