About us

Kartik Shikshan Sansthan was formed by a group of like-minded social workers from the fields of health, education, environment, rural development, woman empowerment and human rights. The organisation began with limited resources and manpower.

KSS aims at the empowerment of economically weaker and socially marginalised sections of the society through capacity building of the people so they can realise their potential and bring about positive changes in their lives. KSS has interest in women empowerment, primary and non-formal education, basic health, HIV/AIDS awareness, environment protection, self help groups, promotion of iodised salt, employment-oriented vocational training, youth development, promotion of sports, arts and culture, reproduction and child health and awareness on various social, health and current issues.

Since its beginning, KSS has covered more than 10,000 direct and indirect beneficiaries in the working areas.

Why work with us

Thry are intersted for the social work  We have an unpaid internship position for a Nonprofit Training Intern, responsible for logistics ensuring successful workshops and seminars. Workshops and leadership events include grant writing, special events planning, meet the media, conversation with grantmakers, and board development. Position averages 10 to 15 hours per week. Flexible hours to accommodate student worker schedule. Duties include: ? Sending out press releases ? Maintaining registration forms ? Logging participant information into database ? Ordering and preparing refreshments ? Managing materials handouts and VCOC flyers ? Help setting-up and breaking-down conference room ? Ensuring proper accolades and thank-you’s go out ? Compiling event evaluations ?
