About us
Economic self-reliance for women through skill generation had a special place in Dr. Phulrenu Guha’s vision for women’s advancement. She also believed that we need to foster the essential right of the child to blossom into a happy, healthy and capable individual. Hence, for more that five decades now, Karma Kutir has been working towards :
Capacity building of underprivileged women and children - through Vocational Training for women in Marketable Skills ie., Hand Embroidery Training, Batik training, Beauty & Care Training and Tailoring Training. We also run a creche for the needy children for slum areas and a Computer and Spoken English classes for the needy adolescent boys and girls.
