Formed in the year 1989 by Late Guru Govindan Kutty and Dr. Guru Smt. Thankamani Kutty both alumnius of Kerala Kalamandalam and exponents of Kathakali and Bharatanatyam & Mohiniyattam, Kalamandalam is today one of the leading dance institution imparting Bharatanatyam lessons to more than 1800 students in its rolls with 7 branches spread over the State of West Bengal. The school can boost of having its alumnis all over the world who have set up institutions in Madrid, U.K., USA, Japan, Kuwait and Canada.
