About us

Jaldhaara Foundation (JF) established on 23 September 2011 and registered as Section 8 Company under the Companies Act, 2013 a ‘not for profit’ organization that designs and implements social programs to transform water and hygiene practices in underserved communities in India. Jaldhaara sees the big impact that daily behaviors such as drinking habits have on the health of a community and aims to provide access to safe drinking water to school children and community as well as empower and employ women in the process.

Goal:

Jaldhaara foundation’s goal is to provide sustainable and integrated WASH services in the Rural / Urban areas at National and International level.

 Vision:

Build preference for safe water, sanitation and hygienic practices in unaddressed and isolated communities of the world. To be the leader in providing scalable, safe and affordable water solutions to the underserved through innovative business models.

 Mission:

To develop and implement sustainable Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) solutions in over two thousand (2,000) communities by 2020.

Activities:

Provision for Safe Drinking to the underserved communities through WaterHealth Centres (WHC's)

Provision of Safe Water to the schools and creating awareness on WASH with Water for Schools programs for

Conduct community awareness sessions on WASH (Self Help Groups / Anganwadi's / Men/Youth/Adolscents groups within the communities

overall Jaldhaara believes in 'quenching a bigger thirst' through its actions and bring about a positive change in lives of the underserved

Why work with us

At Jaldhaara Foundation we value any effort that can help us make a lasting impact on the communities we serve. We understand that not everyone would want to make a monetary contribution to our cause and we respect that thought. If you can donate your “time” to bringing about a change in the lives of people, volunteering with us is an excellent and satisfying experience. Apart from day to day activities and administrative work that are managed by a few dedicated full-time employees, all projects and grass root activities are handled by a combination of few full-time employees and a large number of volunteers. Jaldhaara believes that all who share a commitment to our mission are welcome to join us in our work regardless of their background, ethnic origin, race, age or gender.

As an volunteer individual can help JF by facilitating the requirements through its relationship with key stakeholders in the community for taking the project ahead, Educates on the importance of clean drinking water and conduct various community education and awareness programs on water, Sanitation, Hygiene and Health , Fund raising for expansion and sustainability of the Jaldhaara's program
