About us

IISD works for improving living condition of weaker sections in the society by striving for a complete integrated development of rural society. The organization is working for more than 2 decades at state level having its headquarter in Lucknow. Our approach is organizing the unorganized, conscientising the organized, empowering the conscientised and reordering the environment. IISD strives to create socio-economic awareness, provide economic tools and thereby assist the society to use those tools for income generation. Our activities include research; gender sensitization and capacity strengthening training; campaign for human rights, legal & health awareness; skill training, income generation, savings & credit programme and drudgery reduction activities towards improving living condition of rural people; networking and policy advocacy; seminar, conference workshop, and publication.
