About us

All children deserve a childhood and Help for Children Foundation (HCNF) exists around that very belief. India is home to one of the largest populations of children across the world – yet many of these children do not have access to proper healthcare, education and a safe and secure environment to grow up in. These children struggle for basic care and services and often are not even aware of what they rightfully deserve.

There are over 440 million children in India. Yet many of them struggle for the basics on a day to day basis:

• 1 in every 4 children in India is out of school
• 1 in every 3 children in India is malnourished
• 75% of married women today were married off before the legal age of 18 years
• Millions of children cannot access proper healthcare or the childhood they deserve.
• Over 30 million children work as child labour
• HCNF works towards addressing these issues and transform children’s lives for the better.
