About Foundation For Excellence

The Foundation For Excellence India Trust established on 1st July 2003, is the Indian entity of Foundation For Excellence and shares the same mission as FFE. The mission is to bring about a transformation in the lives of economically underprivileged and academically brilliant students in India. This mission is accomplished by providing scholarships and other forms of assistance to students pursuing professional courses in India. FFE India Trust is recognized as a charitable trust under section 12A(a) of the Indian Income-tax Act, 1961. Donations to the Trust are eligible for tax deduction under section 80 G of the Indian Income-tax Act, 1961. The Trust's program is open to any student in India.

Since its inception in 1994, FFE has helped over 14500 scholars across 25 states in India. The Foundation has disbursed scholarships worth about Rs.56 crores to academically bright students from financially underprivileged families. With an office in US as well as in India, the focus has always been to identify bright and deserving students seeking admission in the top engineering and medical colleges that offer better opportunity for employment after the completion of the course. 

The financial support extended to students from such underprivileged families will help them become high income earning professionals and ultimately improve their families’ economic condition, thus creating a multiplier effect on the society. These scholarships will not only lift the entire family out of the financial stress, but also help students become role models in their respective communities inspiring others to pursue a similar path.The Foundation operates through a network of about 500 facilitators spread over 25 states who play a pivotal role in identifying bright and economically deprived students across India. Their passion for education makes them the torchbearers of the Foundation, thus helping FFE to reach out to as many deserving students as possible.
