About us

FERNS Development Society with its combined experience of 84 years, dedicated to social causes and community development from its inception in 2012, is committed to deliver programs for transformation by addressing root causes of poverty, inequality, injustice and environmental degradation. The causes FERNS Development Society espouses include development and formation of women SHGs(Self Help Groups) and training so that marginalized communities and farmers may reach self sufficiency, enhance levels of education and awareness. Its main activities at present are:
1. Formation, training and sustenance of SHGs through fully sponsored home nursing, professional tailoring and tiffin service programs. Such programs will expand into micro enterprises, co operatives and federations.
2. Awareness Training to Industrial workers/supervisors/managerial staff in HIV AIDS, Tobacco, Drug, Alcohol Abuse and Health and Fitness, Industrial safety and workers safety

3.Foundational and Adult Education

4 Training in non conventional use of energy utilization

5 Establishing a network of urban and rural BPL/APL and HIV/AIDS communities
