About us

Community Outreach Programme (CORP) is one of Mumbai’s leading not-for-profit and non-governmental organization (NGO) was formed in 1977 with the aim of empowering at-risk children, teens and women by providing education and skills training that help them lead an independent and dignified life. CORP provides safe shelter, nutritious meals, quality education, healthcare, childcare, legal guidance, vocational training, capacity-building workshops and other critical support services to foster self-sufficiency. Across each calendar year, over 5000 families benefit from the above groups, sessions and activities. Over 1000 children currently attend our Crèche and Day care centres, 85 children currently reside in our 3 permanent residential shelters. Tuitions are provided for over 300 children, who are currently in education and over 1000 receive support from informal classes and vocational training leading to employment. Through the provision of such training, then self-sufficiency is encouraged and goals can be achieved for both the individual and their respective families. CORP passionately believes in social inclusion and ensures that all groups and activities are accessible to all. As a result of our approach to this practice, over 200 disabled children are able to engage in the activities.

We were also presented with an award for best annual report in year 2012. We work with Give India, Credibility Alliance and Guide Star India the Organizations who partner with groups that can demonstrate significant levels of transparency, sustainability and accountability.
