About us
Bureau of Obligate and Accompanier for Rural Development (BOARD) is registered charitable trust under the Indian Trust Act, 1882 vide registration number IV-17/95-96 and has an FCRA certification. It was founded by a group of dedicated professionals and social workers in year 1995 to address the issues of poverty-stricken people, women, youth and children of the society. It aims to give a specific shape to the society in terms of Education & Skill training, Health & Family Welfare, Livelihood, Community development, Ecological awareness and Women & children rights. It is also aims to issues related welfare of the physically & mentally challenged, street children and people living below the poverty line in society. In pursuance of this aim, the objectives are to promote the economic interest for self-reliance and general welfare of the vulnerable communities without any motive of profit and irrespective of caste, creed, sex, or religion by organizing, establishing & maintaining, supporting, developing and encouraging related activities to poor people especially women, youth & children in the operational areas.
Mission: To promote people-cantered development with focus on underserved and marginalized individuals and communities through participatory processes to claim, and re-claim, their human rights i.e. right to life, to a life with dignity, to food, to land and livelihood.
Our Presence: BOARD is operational in 22 villages & 02 semi-urban areas of Patna & Nalanda districts, Bihar. It works with children, women and youth of poor and marginalized communities to equip them with better health, quality education & skill and sustainable livelihood opportunities. It reaches out to more than 30,000 vulnerable populations through its developmental activities across its targeted areas.

Why work with us
No volunteers are needed at present by BOARD. As we have the strength of 06 volunteers that are sufficient to handle the responsibilities of any type.-
