About us

APPLE - Association of Positive People for Living Excellence got registered under the Societies Registration Act 35 of 2001 society number 348 on 15th September 2003.Positive people established the NGO for the people living with HIV/AIDS in West Godavari Dist. It initiated its activities on 29th November 2003 from Eluru, West Godavari Dist.The primary mission of APPLE is to enhance their enabling environment for PLWHA in West Godavari.The fundamental principle guiding the work of APPLE is the centrality of PLWHA in decision-making processes that affect their lives Consequently, APPLE is organized and managed by people living with HIV/AIDS in India.APPLE aims to enhance their enabling environment for PLWHA in West Godavari by providing opportunities for empowerment,taking control of issues affecting their lives. Empowerment of PLWHA concerns not only health related issues but the protection of human rights, involvement in the development of policy,non-discriminatory access to the legal and health care system and the education of the wider community.

  • APPLE net work named as the best PLHA NGO. The award is presented by the District Collector to the APPLE President Mr. J. Siva Krishna on the World AIDS day function on 1st December 2005.

Why work with us

We want Volunteers for 

1.Through awareness programs, sensitization, advocacy, outreach service, Home and community based        care, Education and empowerment.

2.To provide the Medical facilities,

3.To provide necessary information for the needy PLHA’s

4.To empower HIV Infected and affected people in order to protect their fundamental human right,

5.To involve the PLHA’s in their allotted programs, Scheme's.

6.To Identifying the Problem’s and solves them, i.e. Stigma discrimination, Untouchbulity etc,

7. Forming the PLHA’s groups

8. Accompanied referrals to facilities if required
9. Identification of New PLHIVs
10.Assist clients in Pre ART and ART Registration
11.Tracking LFU and MISSED cases (tracking plan will include regular follow up of all the registered clients,       telephonic tracking)
12. To Provide Counseling services
13. Home visits

14. Support Group Meetings (in hospitals and in communities)

15. Referrals and linkages
