Akhand Jyoti is a non-profit organisation, registered in India.

We Work To Eradicate Curable Blindness. We are working to eradicate curable blindness by providing affordable and sustainable eye care services that are accessible to remote rural areas. We train and empower women to achieve this.

Our Mission is to spearhead in Bihar the eradication of curable blindness by 2022.

Our Vision is to help eliminate curable blindness by providing in low-income states of India affordable, accessible, sustainable, quality curative and preventive eye care services, and empower women to achieve this.

Bihar, one of the poorest Indian states, has a population of 104 million - of which approximately 700,000 people are
blind in both eyes. Based on thousand of eye camps we hold each year, our estimates indicate that the number of blind
people in Bihar is increasing by approximately 100,000 each year.
