About us

WWF India is the pioneer voluntary organization working towards wildlife and environment protection in the country since 1969. With worldwide presence in over 100 countries, WWF-India is working towards environment education, conservation of biodiversity, sustainable use of natural resources and maintaining ecosystems and ecosystem services to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature.

"WWF-India Volunteers Programme aims to reach out to youth and citizens for quality engagement through various short term and long term projects. This programme identifies and builds capacity of ordinary citizens to act as a catalyst of change and make environment conservation a part of their routine lives. WWF –India Volunteers’ Programme was launched in August 2015, as a platform for people from diverse walks of life to come together and engage in a dialogue on environment, conservation, biodiversity, population, pollution, climate change, et al. The programme aims to inspire collective and personal action in public by spreading awareness about the importance of conservation and the role ordinary citizens can play. http://volunteers.wwfindia.org/
